Shareef Ali is a songwriter/performer based in the San Francisco Bay Area, active since 2009. Sometimes compared to alt-folk acts such as Conor Oberst and the Mountain Goats, Shareef’s lyrical songs draw on punk, country and jazz as well. His first full-length solo album A Place to Remember the Dead will be released Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco.
